Happy Independence Day, Tribe!
Two hundred and fifty years ago, a handful of ordinary people banded together and placed their faith in an extraordinary idea. The idea that freedom was not only possible, but that it is our right. An idea guided by the Lord’s will, sustained by personal responsibility, a sense of community, and the belief that together we could build a nation unlike any the world had ever seen.
That idea proved to be possible as a result of many sacrifices, and it still inspires us today.
For two and a half centuries, generations of Americans have come together to build extraordinary things through faith, sacrifice, hard work, and an unwavering belief that freedom is worth preserving. Those same values continue to shape our path moving forward, thanks to the families, communities, and businesses that make up this Tribe across this country today.
At Watchtower Defense, we believe our work is about more than the products we manufacture. It’s about the responsibility that comes with earning your trust.
As we enter this chapter under new leadership, our vision is simple.

- Honor the craftsmen behind every firearm.

These aren’t just business goals. They’re values that guide every decision we make.
But we also recognize that we could not build anything truly meaningful alone. Introducing Marty, the Lead Gunsmith at Watchtower Defense, an Army combat veteran whose experience, craftsmanship, and commitment to excellence shape every firearm manufactured at our facility.
In this interview, Marty shares his journey, his perspective on gunsmithing, and what it takes to pursue a higher standard of quality in the firearms industry. From lessons learned through military service to the attention to detail required at the bench, Marty gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the mindset and craftsmanship that go into his work.
New guns doesn`t necessarily mean more innovation.
Vaelon was built with a different question in mind:
What could we do differently?
The answer seemed simple: bring more control, to our systems, QC processes, every aspect of the design, and ultimately to the shooter.
The firearm depicted is a prototype model; The Vaelon is still in development but will be hitting dealers soon. Stay tuned.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the men and women who ran toward danger to protect others.
