Precision, Fitted to You
Meet the Stratis Bravo. Precision and adjustability, built into one bolt-action rifle. A Watchtower Defense Tactical action and a free-floated Proof Research carbon fiber barrel sit in a modular KRG Bravo chassis, with a TriggerTech Special tuned to 1.25 lb and a self-timing muzzle brake machined from 17-4 stainless steel.
Every Stratis Bravo is built and painted by one person. Bobby Keigans, Watchtower Defense design engineer and an award-winning Precision Rifle Series competitor, assembles each rifle himself, then paints the finish by hand. No pattern is repeated, so the rifle that leaves his bench is the only one like it.
The Stratis Bravo is in development and will deploy soon.

Westrider CamoBobby Keigans paints every Stratis Bravo by hand, so no two look alike. The rifles shown are prototype models and are subject to change in cosmetic elements or component choices before release. Optics and bipods are sold separately.
Colors: Westrider Camo · Tropic Thunder Camo · Moonlight Camo

Feature
Adjustable Fit
Built for shooters who want the rifle to fit them, the Stratis Bravo sits in a modular KRG Bravo chassis. Spacers set length of pull, a tool-less cheek plate sets height and the forend is ready for an ARCA rail, so you can set it to your hold and your optic.

The Details

The Stratis Bravo's chassis adjusts length of pull with 3/8″ spacers and accepts KRG X-Ray and Whiskey-3 back ends.
The Stratis Bravo's cheek plate sets to any height within about an inch of travel, and a thumbscrew locks it without tools.
The Stratis Bravo uses a TriggerTech Special tuned to 1.25 lb, so the shot breaks with minimal finger pressure.
The Stratis Bravo runs a spiral-fluted bolt in a lightened Watchtower Defense Tactical receiver, with flutes that take weight off the bolt body.
The Stratis Bravo feeds AICS-pattern detachable magazines through the KRG Bravo's own magazine well, with an ambidextrous release ahead of the trigger guard.
The Stratis Bravo's monolithic 20 MOA rail angles the scope down slightly, leaving more of its elevation travel for long-range shots.
The Stratis Bravo's forend takes an ARCA rail underneath for a tripod clamp, and an ARCA-clamp bipod can slide along it for balance.
The Stratis Bravo carries a Proof Research carbon fiber barrel, threaded 5/8×24, with a steel core wrapped in carbon fiber to cut weight.
The Stratis Bravo's self-timing muzzle brake matches the barrel contour and indexes without shims or crush washers. A 5/16″ hex wrench opening at the muzzle takes it off for a suppressor and puts it back timed.

CARTRIDGE
Flat, Fast, Low Recoil
DESIGNED FOR
Derrick Ratliff of Horizon Firearms took up the 22 Creedmoor wildcat in 2013 and built Horizon's first 22 Creedmoor rifles in early 2014, necking the 6.5 Creedmoor down to .224 for a flat, fast, low-recoil predator and varmint round. Hornady submitted it to SAAMI, which accepted it in January 2024.
WHY CHOOSE IT
Pick the 22 Creedmoor for coyotes and varmints, and for deer-size game where a .22 centerfire is legal. Hornady rates its 80 gr ELD-X at 3,285 fps from a 24-inch test barrel, and it drops just 31.1 in at 500 yd from a 200 yd zero, flatter than anything else in the line. It recoils the least of the six, well under a 6.5 Creedmoor, so follow-up shots and long sessions stay easy.
On the Stratis and Stratis Bravo it runs a free-floated 22-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel, 1:8 twist, capped with the self-timing muzzle brake, and recoil is mild.
Hornady Precision Hunter, 80 gr ELD-X. Hornady published data, 24″ test barrel. Its 0.485 G1 BC is the figure Hornady lists for this load. Expect lower velocity and energy, and a little more drop, from this rifle's 22″ barrel.
| RANGE | PATH | VELOCITY | ENERGY |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 yd | +1.1″ | 3,076 fps | 1,680 ft·lb |

CARTRIDGE
The Long-Range Standard
DESIGNED FOR
Hornady's Dave Emary and Joe Thielen designed the 6.5 Creedmoor, introduced in 2007, to requirements from Dennis DeMille of Creedmoor Sports: an off-the-shelf match cartridge accurate enough to win High Power matches and reach 1,000 yd from a short action, with less recoil than the .308.
WHY CHOOSE IT
Pick the 6.5 Creedmoor when one cartridge has to cover deer and elk-size game and still ring steel out to 1,000 yd. Hornady rates its 143 gr ELD-X at 2,700 fps from a 24-inch test barrel, with 2,315 ft·lb of energy. Recoil runs about 20 to 25 percent under a .308 Win, so it is the easy-shooting all-rounder of the line.
The Stratis and Stratis Bravo chamber it in a free-floated 22-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel with a 1:8 twist that stabilizes the heaviest 6.5 mm bullets, and recoil stays mild.
Hornady Precision Hunter, 143 gr ELD-X. Hornady published data, 24″ test barrel. Expect lower velocity and energy, and a little more drop, from this rifle's 22″ barrel.

CARTRIDGE
The Creedmoor's Big Brother
DESIGNED FOR
Hornady developed the 6.5 PRC from a concept George Gardner of GA Precision brought to the company, and announced it in October 2017. It was built for long-range precision shooting and hunting: a compact magnum running 200 fps or more ahead of the 6.5 Creedmoor.
WHY CHOOSE IT
Pick the 6.5 PRC when you want the 6.5 Creedmoor's bullets with more speed and energy at distance. Hornady rates its 143 gr ELD-X, the same bullet as the 6.5 Creedmoor load, at 2,960 fps from a 24-inch test barrel, 260 fps faster. Hornady classes the load for medium and large game from 50 to 1,500 lb, and felt recoil is on par with a .308 Win.
On the Stratis and Stratis Bravo it gets a free-floated 22-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel, 1:8 twist, and the self-timing muzzle brake takes the edge off its moderate recoil.
Hornady Precision Hunter, 143 gr ELD-X. Hornady published data, 24″ test barrel. Expect lower velocity and energy, and a little more drop, from this rifle's 22″ barrel.

CARTRIDGE
The Modern 7mm Magnum
DESIGNED FOR
Hornady introduced the 7mm PRC in 2022, designing the cartridge and chamber together so that long, heavy-for-caliber 7mm bullets fit in a standard long action. It sits between the 6.5 PRC and the .300 PRC for long-range hunting and match work.
WHY CHOOSE IT
Pick the 7mm PRC for Western and open-country big game, where shots run long and wind matters. Hornady rates its 175 gr ELD-X at 3,000 fps from a 24-inch test barrel, with 3,497 ft·lb of energy, and it carries the highest G1 ballistic coefficient of the six loads. Recoil is magnum-class but tolerable, roughly 30 percent under the .300 PRC.
The Stratis and Stratis Bravo give it a free-floated 22-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel, 1:8 twist, on the long action it was designed for. The self-timing brake tames the recoil.

CARTRIDGE
The Benchmark .30 Caliber
DESIGNED FOR
Winchester introduced the .308 Winchester in 1952 as a sporting version of the U.S. Army's experimental T65 cartridge, chambering it first in the Model 70 rifle. Frankford Arsenal engineers started the T65 from the .300 Savage case, looking to replace the .30-06 with a smaller round of roughly equal performance.
WHY CHOOSE IT
Pick the .308 Win for deer and elk-size game and match shooting, with factory ammunition you can find almost anywhere. Hornady rates its 178 gr ELD-X at 2,600 fps from a 24-inch test barrel, and at 500 yd it still carries 1,379 ft·lb, more than the 6.5 Creedmoor load. Recoil sits a step above the 6.5 Creedmoor and close to the 6.5 PRC.
The Stratis and Stratis Bravo chamber it in a free-floated 22-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel with a 1:8 twist, finished with the self-timing muzzle brake, which keeps its moderate recoil easy to manage.
Hornady Precision Hunter, 178 gr ELD-X. Hornady published data, 24″ test barrel. Expect lower velocity and energy, and a little more drop, from this rifle's 22″ barrel.

CARTRIDGE
Heavy Bullets, Long Reach
DESIGNED FOR
Hornady introduced the .300 PRC in 2018 after a 10-year development process, building it on the .375 Ruger case to launch heavy-for-caliber .30-caliber bullets with precision at long range. In December 2018 Hornady announced a contract to supply it to the U.S. Department of Defense, which had tested it past 2,000 yd and selected it for its extended long-range sniper program.
WHY CHOOSE IT
Pick the .300 PRC when the shot calls for the most energy in the line, on big game at distance or on steel well past 1,000 yd. Hornady's 212 gr ELD-X starts at 3,850 ft·lb from a 24-inch test barrel and still carries 2,304 ft·lb at 500 yd. Recoil is stout, a little above a .300 Win Mag, which is where the self-timing brake earns its place.
On the Stratis and Stratis Bravo, only the .300 PRC gets a free-floated 24-inch Proof Research carbon fiber barrel with a 1:9 twist, and it recoils the hardest of the six.
Hornady Precision Hunter, 212 gr ELD-X. Hornady published data, 24″ test barrel. This rifle's 24″ barrel matches the test barrel length; velocity from any one barrel will vary.
